Dublin Temp Power Rentals

Temp poles, generators and site cameras for Dublin's large tract housing builds, commercial pads and hot summer schedules.

Tract builds and temp power in Dublin

East Dublin has grown fast, and much of our work there is tract housing built in phases by large builders. A typical phase needs several 100A or 200A poles spread across the lots, a service for the sales trailer and model homes, and power for the street lighting crew. We plan the pole layout with the builder so poles move as the phases do.

Commercial pads and apartments go up along Dublin Boulevard and near the BART station. Those jobs usually need three-phase power for a hoist or a crane and more lighting, and the lots are tighter than the tract land to the east. Deliveries there need a time window, since the streets around them carry heavy traffic at rush hour.

Dublin shares the Tri-Valley heat with Pleasanton and Livermore. July and August afternoons are hard on trailers and crews, so many builders start early and stop by early afternoon. Permits go to the City of Dublin and the service request to PG&E, and the first meter in a phase usually goes live within two to four weeks. Later phases tend to move faster once the city knows the tract.

Three ways Dublin builders use us

Poles across a housing phase

One order can cover a dozen lots, each with its own pole and meter base. We set, inspect and later pull them as part of our multi-lot pole layouts for tract builders, keeping one schedule for the whole phase.

Cameras on open subdivision land

Framing lumber and appliances on an open phase are easy to steal. A solar trailer at the entrance with motion alerts helps, and our camera coverage for new subdivisions runs month to month so it can end when the homes close.

A generator before the meters are released

Model homes and sales trailers often need power before PG&E releases the first meter. A 20 to 45kW towable carries the load, using our bridge power for model home sites, with fuel on a set delivery day.

Dublin permits and builder notes

Dublin’s building division handles electrical permits for temporary services, and on a multi-lot order we file them together where the city allows. Check with the city about any special conditions written into the approval for a specific tract.

Parts of Dublin border Camp Parks, a military training area. Sites next to it may have access or noise rules from the builder’s conditions of approval, and we follow those on delivery and install days.

Dublin pricing we usually see

Each single-phase pole in Dublin usually costs $1,800 to $4,500, and builders who order a full phase at once get a lower per-lot price. Towable 20 to 45kW units typically rent for $500 to $1,200 a week. Camera trailers fall between $450 and $1,200 a month for most jobs.

Dublin builder FAQs

Can you move poles when we start the next phase?

Yes. We pull poles from finished lots once the permanent meters are live and reset them on the next phase with new permits.

Do you give pricing for a full phase?

Yes. Send the lot plan and the start dates, and we quote the whole phase in one estimate.

Can the model homes run off a pole instead of a generator?

Yes, once the meter is released. Many builders run a generator for the first few weeks and switch to a pole when PG&E energizes it.
